after edited

4 of my classmates commented on my poster and they mentioned that bottom part of the poster had too much space and suggested on moving the text lower and make the cassette tape bigger. so I made the cassette tape bigger and moved the text. After few corrections I hope it is more balance...

Why might the artist have used the particular setting?
Setting of the poster is storehouse because this poster is trying to promote store house/ market. The artist created store house filled with crops.

figure/ground relationships?
The relationship between figure and ground is that the crops from house ware are being prepare to other markets.

figure/figure relationships?
figures are similar shapes, colors which creates unity yet there is a big truck to create diverse and interest

What is the artists saying with the composition?
The artist trying to say with the composition is that there are many crops are stored and ready to deliver to close markets

What is the artists saying with light?
The light source is from left and the poster is a positive and bright.

How might you evoke similarly without any text?
I would put residential area image into the poster to promote that this market is near peoples house.

How might you change the mood without any text in a manner that stays true to the original artwork?
I might change the mood by adding more simple human figures to state that people are interested in this market Also take some fruit baskets out to make it less complicate.

Heroic Icons

I should've known but I never really thought about false heros, or trying to make someone heroic through art. When Artists/ graphic designs create images or sculptures heroic it is so easy persuade viewers to believe that the person they are trying to make heroic is a hero. For example this image of a dictator (Kim Jungil) of North Korea is posing as if he is a god. There are ridiculous titles of this dictator. The Sun of the 21st Century, the Eternal Sun, the Guardian Deity of the Planet, the Sun of Socialism, and the Ever-Victorious General. I feel as this image have been exaggerated a lot. First of all, his is a short man and but he is viewed here as a strong and tall man. He is not muscular in real life at all. I very much dislike the fact that some artist create heroic images for non heroic people.

After readying this article made me think about what about true heros? Who even sacrifice their lives? I take a lot of interest in fallen heros who is not there to pose of what kind of heroic action they did. I much agree with what Elbert Huggard said, "The heroic man does not pose; he leave that for the man who wishes to be thought heroic."

After reading the article and researches I am more interested in fallen solders and military heros. Although some true heros are buried underground, I would like to make art for them... Heros don't have to be exaggerated in any different forms to make them a hero they are already a hero for their sacrificial action.
